Dragonboat racing

Another weekend for the Dragon boat races, raising funds for breastcancer. I rowed on Sunday for the Stantec Slayers - one of the 157 teams competing. Its always a fun time but this year I felt a bit out of shape having not gone to all the practices and only rowing one race (because of Joshua). I'm feeling it a bit in my arms and back right now. Stantec team did well, but didn't place like they did last year. All the teams had good times mainly because of the direction of the wind and the currents this year. The races were pushed back from August to Sept. because of the high water on the rivers...but all for a good cause.

Entertainment included some Spanish Dancers and Karate show

holidays

Well, we survived a roadtrip (with an 11 year old and a 7 mo. old) to the Black Hills and back. We had perfect weather, but too little time. The timing wasn't the greatest either with the gas prices shooting up... it was the week of the hurricane. I think we need a more economic truck to pull the camper, if that's possible.

We saw the guys

And WallDrug. On the way Vince counted about 90 signs to Wall Drug... a bit excessive.

And we went in a cave, boring cave guide though.

And we saw Crazy Horse, a first for me.
